Preventing Weeds

Unfortunately, because of new provincial laws, individuals can no longer spray their own lawns with weed-killing herbicides. Only those like ourselves, who have a pesticide permit, retain this right.

Since these laws were enacted, we have been providing herbicide treatments to consumers. It is important to note, however, that some municipalities are pesticide-free, banning all application of them. We therefore suggest that you check with your local administrative authorities beforehand.

That being said, the most effective, environmentally responsible and inexpensive method for removing weeds is still by hand. The ideal time to weed is just before mowing, as they are easier to spot and uproot.
