How much lead time is required for delivery?
Orders should be placed two or three days ahead of the desired delivery date. Saturdays are particularly popular early in the season, so we suggest allowing three to five days for delivery.
Which payment methods are accepted?
We accept cash, debit cards as well as VISA and Master Card credit cards. We do not take personal cheques. Contractors and landscapers may open an account with us.
How many inches of topsoil should be applied before installing turf?
Allow four to six inches. We suggest at least six inches on sandy soil.

How long should I wait before mowing my new turf for the first time?
We recommend waiting until the turf has rooted—generally seven to ten days after installation. Applying a rooting fertilizer after the turf has been laid down will speed up root growth.
How should turf be watered after installation?
We suggest you first obtain a watering permit. Turf needs to be saturated with water for the first 24-48 hours after it is installed. Afterwards, the soil should be kept moist until the turf has rooted. Moisture is key to successful rooting. The rooting process will be significantly delayed if the soil is too wet.
Can I install new turf on top of the old turf?
No. New roots will not be able to penetrate the soil and ensure the turf’s survival.

How long after delivery must new turf be installed?
We generally suggest that new turf be installed within 24 hours after delivery. However, it is strongly recommended that new turf be installed within 12 hours during hot spells in order to maintain the product’s freshness.

What is the size and area of turf rolls?
Small rolls cover 10 sq. ft. and measure 18" x 80" or 24" x 60". Jumbo rolls cover 270 sq. ft. and measure 42" x 70'.

What should I do if mushrooms grow on my turf?
Mushroom growth is usually caused by two main factors. The first is excess moisture. Water less. Mushrooms growing on turf could also be a sign that the soil pH is too acidic. This can be corrected by applying dolomitic lime.

How often should fertilizer be applied?
The secret is to apply fertilizer sparingly but frequently. We recommend four applications a year: in May, June, August and September/October.
