BASTIEN SOD FARMS, EXPERTISE WITH A REPUTATION EXTENDING
FAR BEYOND THE LOCAL MARKET
TERREBONNE,
November 11, 2002 --- Two weeks ago, about 20 landscape architects and technical
officers, responsible for various projects to develop sports fields and
parks for the City of Montreal, visited the facilities of Bastien Sod Farms
in Terrebonne.
This event consolidated the company’s well established local
reputation. In addition to learning about the astounding growth of this
family business since it was founded 40 years ago, through a presentation
by Daniel Bastien and his team, these professionals had an opportunity to
observe the high level of expertise and technology required to grow quality
cultivated turf.
It should be noted that several producers currently share the local and
regional market for cultivated sod in Quebec. Few, however, are able to
produce quality sod that meets the requirements of cities and municipalities
for heavy sports use (soccer/golf) when developing and restoring parks.
The visitors were pleased to note during their tour the extent to which
the products and services of Bastien Sod Farms met or even exceeded these
requirements.
It should be remembered that Bastien Sod Farms is also open to the public.
The company sells Kentucky bluegrass sod as well
as a range of specialized products.
